The Self

“The Self” is a horror short film written and directed by Grace Pritchard, founder of Gardenhouse Cinema, LLC. I met Grace through our mutual passion for women-led film. In December 2023, we co-produced Femme Film Club, a community event where we screened finished works and works in progress of local women-led films. “The Self” was a student film that Pritchard produced in her last quarter at Savannah College of Art and Design. This was our first time working together and we didn’t let a budget of $0 stop us. All the props and dressing you see are sourced from my closet or borrowed from friends.
